Dimitri Stanich (he/him), a Sacramento native, creates what he describes as “internal landscapes." Drawing inspiration from French post-impressionists, Dadaist theory, and the reticular perspective of Cubism, his images explore attention, rationalization, and perspective. By blending stochastic strokes of color, texture, and layers, and manipulating the sheens of each, he crafts narratives of increasing depths, rewarding both casual and attentive viewers. Dimitri's work has been accepted by the California State Fair multiple times, but he has only recently begun showing. He works with acrylic, pastels, oil and water-based inks, and ball point pens.
